Hillarys is a home furnishing brand that offers
made-to-measure shutters, curtains & Blinds.
They want to push some test content online for a quick turn around mini-campaign, to talk about the quality of their products. Especially during a cost of living crisis, people are tightening their purse strings and not spending as much on what might be deemed unnecessary. One way of looking at it was to see Hillarys products as qualitative over quantity. Why not purchase once where it will last, instead of a cheaper, less durable alternative that would require a do-over in the future. Hillarys products are Made-to-Measure and Made to Last, through all the milestones in your life.
One of the tests we were tasked to explore, was how quickly we could turn this around on a small budget with a small pre-production lead time.
We had a pre-production period of 1 week. 4 sets, 4 narratives and 5 cast members to be shot in 1 day. With the initial creative, production design and styling done in-house by me and the support of the ECDs and in-house producer we managed to give it a good kick off. Once things were set in motion, the kinks were straightened with the a wider production team. The Ikea runs, 15hr days, a missed day of mourning for the Queen and a 12 hr shoot day later, we managed to pull it off.
