Ballantine's is a range of Blended Scotch Whiskies. It can trace its heritage back to 1827.
Ballantine’s wanted to create a social campaign to tell the heritage stories that contributed to what it is today. With so many stories to tell, we created a series of videos that help tell each individual story. With much research and probably sifting through one too many archived videos, as well as crusading across Scotland shooting new assets, we created 6 videos that started to tell the tale of Ballantine’s origins. And that barely scratched the surface.
Each video was a mix of archived footages and newly shot for. Short and sweet so as to not say more than needed to be said. We did however also stitch the videos together to create one long form video.
I must have scripted about 20 scripts and a handful of tales before we settled on these 6 to kickstart the heritage campaign. The beauty of this publication structure is that there is space for an endless stream of stories to tell.
We created 10-15sec social videos as well as 6 sec teasers as the lead up to the launch. On top of that, we created GIFs and images that would run on their own channel as well as paid placements.
