Hertz was looking to make their biggest promotional campaign yet for years with a multi-platform, pan-European push of its new Premium fleet of cars.

 

We wanted customers to include Hertz as part of their holiday as opposed to being just a form of transport. To view their car rentals as a means of experience and adventure. We finally landed on the line “Car so great you’ll never want to get out.”

We tossed around a bunch of scenarios - movie drive throughs, overnight wild camping, date night… If you think about it, there’s alot you can do from the confines of your car. We eventually landed on 3 that we thought covered all bases. sunbathing in an open-top Mini, fishing from a Land Rover, and people-watching in an idyllic European square from a Mercedes A-Class. This was one of the last projects I worked on before leaving Adjust Your Set so unfortunately for me, I wasn’t part of the production process. I mean, I only did just come up with the line and the creative. Just saying.

 

One of the key factors to consider was to show the fleet of cars that Hertz had to offer. So on top of showing customer benefits, we were also able to show their products seamlessly. With a touch of humour and a nod towards the typical high-end car ad, with drive-bys and wheel spins, we managed to produce a suite of assets that ran ran on TV, VOD, DOOH, digital, print, and social across Europe during Spring/Summer of 2019.
